Understanding Your Path to Graduation
What You'll Need
Graduation requires completing 22.5 total credits across core subjects and electives, plus 25 hours of community service. Core courses build your foundation in English, math, science, and social studies—these are non-negotiable. Electives let you explore interests and develop specialized skills.

Core Course Requirements
Core courses form the academic foundation every graduate needs. You’ll complete 14 credits across four essential disciplines that prepare you for college and career success.
English - 4 Credits
English courses build your communication skills progressively through the 4 grade levels. You’ll analyze literature, write essays, develop critical thinking, and master grammar. Each year introduces more complex texts and sophisticated writing techniques.
Math - 4 Credits
Math courses follow a logical sequence from Algebra to Advanced topics, each building on previous concepts. Strong math skills open doors to STEM careers and college opportunities.
Science - 3 Credits
Science requirements cover life sciences, earth systems, and physical sciences. These courses develop scientific thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Social Studies - 3 Credits
Social studies courses develop your understanding of history, government, and global citizenship. These three credits prepare you to be an informed, engaged member of society.
Elective Requirements
Electives round out your education with 6.5 credits of required coursework plus 2 credits you choose. These courses develop well-rounded skills and let you explore personal interests.

Community Service Requirement
Beyond academics, you must complete 25 hours of community service before graduation. This requirement teaches compassion, leadership, and civic responsibility while making a real difference in your community.

New Requirements Starting 2027
Important Changes
If you’re graduating in 2027 or later, two additional elective courses become mandatory. These additions increase total graduation requirements while preparing you for civic and economic challenges.
