Another Bayaan Community Success!

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Today, October 11th, we welcomed our parents back for our next community event, where we tackled one of the most important conversations of our time: raising independent children in the modern age.

We had some amazing conversations about the digital world that follows us home, how Islamophobia is impacting our children’s identities, and how we can raise independent kids while keeping them academically sound. The room was full of honest reflections, shared experiences, and the kind of support that only comes when a community comes together.

We heard about the real struggles our parents face — from screens that never sleep to the outside world’s messages that try to shape our children’s sense of self.

We also asked parents to rank the supports that could help their teen most. Their responses sparked some of the richest discussion of the afternoon:
