The Director oversees the general operations of Bayaan Academy. Sumair has a Master’s in Education, and a Bachelor’s dual major in Psychology and Economics. He is a licensed teacher in the state of Maryland holding an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate.
His 15+ years academic experience includes serving as a certified Special Education teacher at a Maryland public high school, teaching at a community college, head of secular academics for a Hifdh school, and working as a Teacher Trainer for a university in the Middle East for 9 years. His diverse global experience help guide Bayaan’s vision and serve as a resource for parents and students seeking academic counseling.
Fatima works closely with the Bayaan faculty, students, and parents to ensure high educational standards and works to implement the academy’s vision in collaboration with the Bayaan team.
Sumna is pivotal in managing Bayaan’s daily activities and working closely with the Director to ensure educational standards compliance. She was born and raised in Jeddah, KSA and later went on to obtain her Bachelor’s in Engineering. Her diverse experience includes teaching children with autism in Jeddah and writing self-help content for a non-profit in Malaysia.
Risha is involved in executing day to day tasks, drafting documents, and overseeing activities to help ensure the smooth functioning of the school. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communication, and Management Studies in India and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in English Language and Literature. She has over five years of experience working as an editor and content writer.
Sarah is part of the Bayaan’s administrative team and works closely with Assistant Director in coordinating tasks for the academy. Sarah is a registered nurse currently completing her Bachelors at University of Maryland. She has completed an intensive 6 year Islamic Scholarship program at Darul Uloom Seattle and has been teaching in Islamic schools since 2013.

Munsoor has a BSc Honours in Business and Management Computing from Brunel University, UK. Upon graduation, he managed a large manufacturing facility just outside of London. His passion for teaching led him to obtaining his Post Graduate Certificate of Education in ICT with a Qualified Teacher Status. Munsoor has over 8 years experience teaching primary and secondary schools both in the private and government sector in UK and the Middle East.
Head of Mathematics
Saddaf graduated valedictorian of her high school class, and later graduated with BA in Mathematics with Honors from the University of Delaware. Her experience includes serving as an adjunct faculty member at a college in USA, working in private schools internationally, and homeschooling her own kids from a primary stage She has also taught SAT Math preparatory courses to high school students. Students benefit tremendously from her vast teaching experience to a diverse population of students.
Islamic Studies Teacher
Ustadha Fatima grew up in Bolton, UK and decided to pursue a specialty in religious law. She completed an intensive six year Islamic Studies course at Jamia Tahfeezul Qur’an, obtaining an ijazah (authorization) to teach the traditional Islamic sciences. Later, she also graduated with a BA (Hons) in Humanities from the Open University. A stay at home mother and home educator, she has spent over twelve years teaching Islamic Studies classes, delivering programmes for New Muslim Ladies and organising regular community events.
Yunus graduated with a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from the Queen’s University of Belfast and upon graduation, he travelled to the Middle East to study Arabic language and culture. He then moved to UK and obtained a PGDE from Bolton University in 2011, and a year later, became a qualified teacher. He has taught English to a number of adults and young students. He also spent two years working with an educational charity focusing on character education for young British Muslims. He now lives with his family on a farm in rural Ireland.
Zainab obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science. She has vast experience in online learning and teaching and has brought that expertise to Bayaan’s Math department.
Arabic Language Teacher
Ustadha Rabab is from cosmopolitan Cairo and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arabic Language. She has been teaching immersion Arabic Language to non-native speakers for over 5 years.
Hafsa studied Biological Science and Business. She attended University Of Derby, UK and is a Google Certified Educator. She has been teaching with Bayaan since 2017 and incorporates a lot of project-based learning and presentations in her online classroom.
Bilal was born and raised in the great state of Ohio. After graduating from highschool, he attended The Ohio State University where he double majored in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Upon completing undergraduate degrees, he studied overseas for four-and-a-half years. He was blessed with the opportunity to study in Jordan, Egypt, and Malaysia. While in Malaysia, he completed his masters degree in Islamic jurisprudence. Currently, he is a first-year law student in Ohio.
Aya Najeh was born in Egypt, and now lives in Turkey. She graduated from the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Cairo University, with a BA in Arabic Language, Literature and Islamic Sciences. She has a Post-graduate Diploma in Teaching Arabic to non native Speakers, from the College of Graduate Studies of Education. To Bayaan’s Arabic classes, Ustadha Aya brings her rich five years’ experience of teaching the Holy Quran and the Arabic language to Arabs and non-Arabs.
Fariha passed her A&O Level examinations with A*s and a regional distinction in Economics. She currently holds a BA (hons) degree in Fashion & Textiles from the University of Creative Arts London. She loves to integrate arts into her class curriculum to enable project-based learning and help motivate her students with a more visual type of learning.
Hanan grew up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and has a doctorate in Biology. She has experience in teaching and mentoring high school students as well as graduate students. She likes to encourage young students to take up science as a career and mentor them to hone their critical thinking abilities while pursuing science.
Hatice is a qualified math teacher, teaching middle and high school levels for more than ten years. She earned her Masters in math education in New York. She worked for several years in NY at a private school, then moved to Turkey. She has been working with international schools since then. She creates an environment to promote students’ critical thinking skills and utilize differentiation, encouraging students during the learning process.
